Sharron Davies MBE & The Olympian Panel

Olympic medal winner for Great Britain, Sharron Davies will host this special Olympian panel, which will focus on the importance of nutrition when training for competition. Since retiring from the sport Sharron has worked as a sports presenter, covering 8 Olympic games for the BBC and is a qualified personal trainer. She will appear on the next season of Bear Grylls The Island.

Sharron will be joined by Renee McGregor and three Olympian athletes as they discuss the importance of nutrition in their training plans and their inspiration for reaching the top in their chosen sports.

The Olympian Panel:


Renee McGregor – a leading sports and eating disorder specialist dietician.  With over 15 years’ experience working in nutrition, Renee works with elite athletes, coaches and sport science teams to provide nutritional strategies to enhance sport performance and manage eating disorders.  She is the author of the best-selling book Training Food, which went straight to number one in Amazon’s Fitness Training category in April 2015.

Piers Gilliver – silver medal winner at the Rio 2016 Paralympic games, World and European Championships, 22yr old Paralympic wheelchair Fencer Piers will explain what is inspiring him to aim for the top in his chosen sport.

Holly Rush – ranked top 10 in the UK from 2006-2013 over the marathon distance. She is an Asics Frontrunner and ambassador for the brand. Holly will show you how you can fall in love with running too!

Tom Garrod – post viral encephalitis survivor & stage IV testicular cancer survivor. Tom will share his story to help inspire you to achieve the best you can be and think outside your comfort zone. May 2017, Tom ran 345 miles across Ireland in the fastest time ever recorded, which will shortly be confirmed as a Guinness World Record.
